Established in 1961, the Clinical Laboratory of the Black Hills is the oldest existing independent reference laboratory in South Dakota. The laboratory has provided a full range of laboratory services to Rapid City, the Black Hills, and the surrounding area since that time.
I was drawn to the profession of medicine at a young age. My father was one of the founding fathers of Clinical Laboratory. It was his dedication, hard work and care for the patient that served as my inspiration to become a pathologist. I find pathology extremely interesting.

My interest in science and problem-solving lead me to pathology. I especially enjoy forensic pathology and working with law enforcement - to discover what happened and why. One of the things I like best about Clinical Laboratory is that our group of pathologists works so well together.
